Well, some dachshunds get seizures, but this problem can be taken care of with TLC and medicine. Also, dachshunds often suffer spinal problems due to their long backs, but this can easily be avoided. Use a harness when walking your dachshunds, NEVER hit them, don't allow them to jump from high places(ie. the bed, the couch) and your dachshund will probably never have back problems! They are a pretty healthy breed despite these problems if properly taken care of.
