when someone's eye begins to twitch, it can be either a pinched nerve, a neurological problem, or (most likely) a mini virus that attacked a nerve in the eye. It shouldn't last for more than a week (7-10 days is about the time it takes most viruses to run their course)

∙ 11y agoOne time i was very nervous and I was under stress. I felt a weird sensation of my eye and went it to the bathroom. My eye was twitching and at first I was scared. My eyes get twitchy all the time and an eye twitch once and a while is common but they only last a few seconds, but my eye was very twitchy and it kept twitching. I was in the house alone so I had know one to call. My eye kept twitching and twitching. It was getting to the point were I was about to pass out and my eye just kept on twitching. My mom got home and saw it and said it was a simple eye twitch and my eye getting twitchy and twitching for that long was normal and my eye was just going through some nervous twitches.
