Last November Call of Duty Black Ops broke or shattered sales records by releasing all platforms worldwide on November 9 2010. For the launch of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 to be considered successful they will need to do the same worldwide release on every platform if they hope to again shatter sales records with a November 2011 release. They claim that they expect to break the 7 million one day sales record when the MW3 is released on November 8 2011

nothing is confirmed but hints and company leaks show that it will be released fall 2011. due to over 30 employees leaving Infinity Ward last year though, the MW3 multiplayer is being made by Sledgehammer games.
