Never.
Well, it will probably eventually return. But it shut down in Fall 2016 and will be at Disneyland from early 2017 until summer.

They didn't do it because they didn't have the floats. The Main Street Electrical Parade started in 1972 and ran until 1996 at Disneyland. After that the floats were refurbished and sent to Disney World(Disney World had earlier sent their version of the parade to Disneyland Paris). In 2001 Disney World sent them back to Anaheim (except for a couple, which went to Paris), but instead of reopening the parade in Disneyland Disney decided to use the still popular Electrical Parade as a draw for their newly opened (and disappointingly attended) California Adventure park. By 2010, California Adventure was doing a little better (not because of the parade, but because Disney spent a bank full of money revamping it), and Disney sent the Electrical Parade back to Disney World. That said, the Electrical Parade recently (early 2017) began a "limited engagement" run in Disneyland (early 2017). I'm not sure what's going to happen after that ends in summer 2017; the parade will likely return to Disney World, though it could be sent to the Disney parks in either Hong Kong or Shanghai (it will probably NOT be sent to Tokyo, since that park is not actually owned by Disney).
No, Disney's Animal Kindom does not have a nighttime parade or fireworks because it would scare the animals. The Magic Kingdom has a parade and fireworks (currently the Main Street Electrical Parade and Wishes, respectively). Epcot puts on a nightly show called IllumiNations on the World Showcase Lagoon. The show at Disney's Hollywood Studios is called Fantasmic, but it does not run every night during slow seasons.
