This chapter is when Old Major claims he has a dream, and gets all of the animals together to hear it. He says he will tell them the dream later, and he actually explains what humans are doing to them. He uses Propaganda, and gets the animals all ready to start the revolution.

The farmer represents the ruling class in the hierarchy of power on the farm in Animal Farm. Initially, he holds all the power and control over the animals, but is eventually overthrown by the animals who then take over the farm.
Manor farm reperents Russia when Karl Marx/Lenin was in control. When the farm was renamed to Animal Farm it shows that Stalin has taken control and a new unsuccesfull idea of communsm had begun to take over.

The name of the animal farm is Manor Farm. Once the revolution started, the animals changed it to, in fact, Animal Farm. As it progresses to the end of the book, the pigs change it back to Manor Farm. It's really ironic if you read it.
Snowball was one of the pigs that assumed control of the farm.
It doesn't say in the book when the rebellion happens. You can assume that it happened a long time ago. That is because the book was written half a century ago!
Animal farm because as the animals take over the farm they form their own little society as did the chidlren stranded on the island.
The animals attack Frederick's men because they attempt to take over the farm and harm the animals. The animals defend themselves and their home against the threat posed by the humans trying to exert control over them.
Benjamin the donkey in Animal Farm represents the cynical and skeptical individuals in society who are aware of the corruption and manipulation around them but choose not to take action.
Actually if you get it from a local farm its unhealthier food because they take it straight out of the animal.
