Sources and conspiracists believed that it will end on December 21st rather than May 21. The exact time is now changed to 11:11 PM GMT than 6 o'clock PM GMT. Though we do not know this to be correct or not, as various religious texts claim the world will end in many different ways, and at very different times.

∙ 11y agoThe world is not going to end in 2012. However, the Mayan calendar predicts that the world will end, or dramatically change, on December 21, 2012. The reason for this prediction is that the end of their 5125-year-long calendar cycle ends on 12/21/12 and so they believed that a new era would being following that. There was not an exact time given for the end of the world, just the date of December 21, 2012.

∙ 11y agoNo one really knows. Humans have been predicting the end of the world since humans have existed and no one has been right yet, obviously. The world will end someday but it will likely be a surprise to everyone who is alive at that time.

I don't think so. Many times in the past, groups of people have claimed the world will end on such a date - but we are still here! One day the world will eventually end, but not in my life time. I think I still have time to pay off my house mortgage!
