It's probably low on fluid or it could need to be flushed and a new screen put in.
The idle speed is too low, or there is an internal trans problem.
Before you can fix the idle problem on your Vauxhall Frontera, you need to find out the cause of the problem. If the problem is with the fuel pump or fuel filter, they would need to be replaced.
Bad powertrain mount or worn CV joint or high idle speed or torque converter problem.
that would be good for the cold idle and should drop three times as the car warms up and should idle about 650 to 800 auto trans
the TPS (throttle position sensor) controls the idle.
might be time for a tune up change the plugs wires and coil packs. if problem contiues get the idle adjusted
a lot depends on the engine??possibly a problem with the choke,or a solenoid if a diesel.
10 degrees BTC(Before Top Dead Center) for both auto and manual trans. Idle 700RPM for manual and 650 RPM for auto trans
have lost my idle on a 1995 mitsubishi--what is the problem
an idle rpm for a 350 stadard trans. is about 500 rpms. an auto is about 750 rpms. this is if the eng. has a stock cam. if not it may vary
your truck wont idle correctly when its cold, because its cold...and nothing runs correctly when it's cold. your truck wont idle correctly when its cold, because its cold...and nothing runs correctly when it's cold.
The mass air flow sensor , that's what happened on my 1995 maxima. Once I changed my air flow sensor the idle dropped down to somewhere around the 800-850 rpm range. At least that's what worked for my vehicle. Now if it is happening in your warm up period, it could easily be your MAFS. If you are driving when this happens when coming to a stop, its your trans. I started suffering this problem right before the fluid pump on my trans went. It cooked the fluid and the shims. cost me 3500 to have it rebuilt.
