King Narmer, also know as Menes was the one who unified the 2 kingdoms of Egypt.
Menes, also called Narmer, united Egypt. you can see the proof on the Narmer Palette. He did this in about 3100BC! :-0 (menes also means 'founder'!) :)
Before Egypt was unified under King Narmer, the region was referred to as Kemet, which means "black land" due to the fertile soil along the Nile River. The area was divided into two main kingdoms: Upper Egypt (to the south) and Lower Egypt (to the north). These regions were characterized by distinct cultural and political differences until Narmer's unification around 3100 BCE.
King Narmer had unified Egypt Through military means . The pharaoh is depicted wearing the crowns of Upper Egypt on one side, and lower egypt on the other, indicating that he was the first king over both kingdoms.
