bias
This is called bias or stereotyping. Bias occurs when there is a preference or prejudice in favor of or against one thing, person, or group. Stereotyping is a fixed, oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing.
Stereotype
A stereotype is a judgement about another based on suferficial details and common misconceptions. Saying people of a certain race or gender are more likely to do this or that are examples of stereotypes.
You usually don't have to worry about that, but dress neutrally, don't let them think that you are a certain type or they will likely stereotype you and may be against you from the beginning. Just be cool and nice and presentable.
That's a stereotype. A stereotype is when you make a broad statement about all people in a certain group. Discrimination is when you favor or disfavor the people in some group - usually based on a stereotype you're thinking of. (For example: "Mexicans are unreliable - so I'm not going to hire this Mexican guy.")
People may stereotype certain young people as juvenile delinquents due to a combination of factors such as their behavior, appearance, or association with delinquent peers. Media portrayal and societal biases can also contribute to these stereotypes.
They may have heard an accent similar to it and then jump to conclusions such as assuming that they are from a certain country, think a certain way etc.
It is important as historians to recognise the difference because opinions are not necessarily true, or what happened. You can have 2 or more opinions that go against eachother, but there's only one fact. Opinions also show more of the feeling of the time (whether people liked or disliked certain events), rather than what actually happened. Some effects that are fact, were sparked off by opinions, they are interlinked, but definitely different.
Yes, it appears that Groucho43 is giving his "personal opinions" to certain questions.
Biases are the opinions or beliefs that affect a person's ability to make a particular, objective and fair judgment or decision . In short, bias is personal opinion to a particular thing. Stereotypes are oversimplified opinions that do not account for individual differences.
that would be certain peoples opinions. :)
It helps people who don' t known certain language
it's kind of being racist like gay steriotypes would make fun of gays or black steriotypes who are racist and make fun of black people A stereotype is an assumption that all of people are the same in a certain category. For example it is a stereotype to say that all people who work on wallstreet are rude and have slicked back hair.
