Every medical department/nursing station/med room has a "sharps container". Needs should NOT be recapped. The needle, needle end first, should be dropped into the sharps container. When full, the biomedical waste department will pick it up to incinerate it.

What r the responsibilities of a nurse
a quilt maker. Usually using the old fashion tools and needles for it.
as a patient giving a few tubes of blood samples two times ina month for passport and visa health reports in two countries, i can say that it was more comfortable for me when they used butterfly needles because nurse fixed the needle with plaster immediately after injection and after that collected blood sample with tubes without touching it. I am not scared of needles and i just do as they say but normally while they collect blood in tube, some BAD nurses "jiggle the needle" in my vein a lot and i feel like i am going to faint with strong nausea. I hate these kind of nurses and they even blame me for this if i tell them "you play too much". Butterfly needles are lifesaver with these kind of nurses. Because it is attached to a long flexible pipe, whatever they do in the other end just wont hurt me. They take at least 3-5 tubes of samples so they need to plug and unplug tubes. If the nurse is not good skilled this process is very painful for me. believe it or not, there are nurses out there who treat you like an animal. it is really annoying.
it was made by using needles, and cloth then making it into a flag

People with diabetes need to inject insulin shots using syringes and needles. It is important to select needles and syringes with the appropriate gauge specifications as prescribed by the doctor. Precision is important because the slightest variations in the volume of insulin injections can have significant side effects.
The terms sterile and aseptic mean the same thing. And you are supposed to use a sterile/aseptic technique. From what I have read, many visiting nurses do not do that if they are from the doctors' office. But they do it in the hospital. It is always best to do this using a technique that will not infect the patient.
In acupressure, the same points on the body are used as in acupuncture, but are stimulated with finger pressure instead of needles.
