No you do not, you can leave the transmission were it's at. Just put a jack under the transmission to keep it from falling out.
yes you remove a Nissan 200sx motor from the top. unless you want to drop it down through the engine compartment using a lift. its much easier to pull the motor off the top of the transmission than to take it all out the bottom. its even easier to replace a clucth by pulling the motor thatn pulling the trannie.
NO THEY ARE NOT.
It is by all means better, and easier to change the clutch & pressure plate by pulling the transmission. Just remember to "block up your engine" before pulling the transmission.
To replace the wiper motor on a 1994 Geo Tracker, first, disconnect the negative battery cable for safety. Remove the wiper arms by lifting the caps, unscrewing the nuts, and pulling them off the splines. Next, detach the interior cowl panel by removing the screws and clips, then locate and unbolt the wiper motor. Disconnect the electrical connector, replace the motor with the new one, and reassemble everything in reverse order.
Yes, you can install a 16-valve Tracker motor in a Suzuki Samurai, but it may require some modifications to the engine mounts and transmission compatibility. The intake manifold from the Samurai's 1.3-liter engine may not fit directly onto the 16-valve Tracker motor, as they have different designs and configurations. You'll likely need to use the Tracker's intake or adapt the Samurai's intake to work with the Tracker engine.
No. The Prism motor is a Toyota motor and side mounted. The Tracker motor(suzuki) is mounted with the engine from front to back, so it will not work without a lot(I mean a lot) of work to do it.
Bolted to the back of the motor. If you remove the doghouse the front of the transmission is right there.
I have heard that one can loosen the motor and transmission and hold the motor up with a hoist and lower the carriage instead of pulling out the whole motor in order to take out the transmission. This will allow one to keep all the odds and ends still affixed to the motor above while one replaced/fixed the transmission. I know that I pulled out the power steering unit this way without having to pull the motor. My ex-wife got her transmission fixed in a Taurus this way.
How do I get to the flywheel bolts on a 98 dodge dakota to remove a transmission
Transmission, yes Motor no, but it would be easier if it was out.
No way, one are the other has to be taken out to repair.
yes, remove the driver side tire, then unbolt the tranny from the morot and pull it out the bottom. (best way without taking the motor out.)
