You can simply back stitch a couple of stitches over the end of the row or remove the material and pull the thread on the reverse of the material. This will pull the bottom thread through the material in a loop. Catch this loop and pull the bottom thread through to the same side of the material where the two threads can be knotted together.
Assuming you've crocheted from the center out, end the last row with slip stitches to give a nice smooth edge. Then slip stitch to the first stitch of the round, tie off and sew in the end to hide it.
You just go over the last stitch back and forth for a few seconds, this makes it sturdy enough to hold. if you like you can do the same over the first stitch. To tie a quilt by hand, you go to each point where four squares meet and place a piece of yarn/thread that you then tie. To do this by machine, you would place each intersection under the needle, sew an x, then pull enough thread out to tie a knot by hand.

It depends on how many stitches you have to cast off. Check your pattern as to how many stitches to cast off. Once you know, knit two stitches, and then take the stitch farthest from the end of your needle, and pull it over the second stitch. You will now have one stitch. Knit another stitch, and cast off the stitch farthest from the end of your needle. Repeat until you have cast off a sufficient amount of stitches. The best time to make the change to a new skein is at the end of a row, but it can be done at any time. In crochet, if you are using the same color and just starting a new skein, work your last stitch to the second to last step. With the new yarn, finish your stitch. Leaving a long tail, cut the old yarn and continue working with the new yarn. You can weave the tails in as you go, or when you've finished the work. Some folks like to tie the two ends together. Some folks never tie. If you are finished with that color and adding a new color at the same position, work as above. If you need to start your new color at a different place, finish off the old color by completing your last stitch and drawing the yarn through. Leave a long tail (about 6") and cut the old yarn. To attach the new color, make a slip knot on your hook (again leaving a long tail), insert hook at the proper position, yarn over, and draw through both the stitch and the loop on the hook (as in making a slip stitch). Then follow instructions in your pattern as to what stitch you need to make to begin.

Atv fenders are generally plastic, use epoxy and fiber-glass for the repair. I prefer the cable tie stitch together method, drill small holes on each side of the crack and tie with the cable tie not pretty but very functional
