There really is no specific age. It depends on the girl and her mother. If the girl is feeling self conscious about her growing hair, then it would be a good idea to get it done. It also depends on the mother, whether she wants it and feels comfortable with it or not. Most girls start waxing aroung age 12 or 13 these days. If you've never waxed or shaved before, I would prefer waxing before starting to shave, it's more smooth, and lays a good foundation for the shaving. Waxing is a bit painful but it lasts weeks, and for some girls, up to a month. Many girls, start feeling self conscious about her hair, and stop wearing short sleeved shirts and tank tops, etc. They may stop wearing shorts and skirts, and never leave their legs bare. If this is the case, then you should definitely get it done for the girl, and not have her suffer. To sum up, it really depends about the girl and how she feels about her hair, if she is comfortable with it, don't do it yet, unless it's really visible and easy to point out. If she feels uncomfortable, get it done, but be sure to get permission from mom, maybe even dad!
