Timing belt is not usually a job you do yourself unless you are somewhat mechanically inclined. A serpentine belt can be changed easily but the timing belt is internal and usually requires the waterpump to be changed as well. My advice is to find some videos on YouTube or a vw forum.

remove alternator, powersteering pump ,harmonic balancer ,and waterpump,the timing chain cover is now ready to come off also need to remove oil pan .timing chain is under cover

The 2002 Accent booklet states that the Timing Belt should be changed at 60,000 Miles.

Any time you rebuild the engine you should always put in a new timing chain. They are far more durable than a timing belt.
