All 'proper nouns' get a capital letter -> the name of a person or a place.... John, London, Mary, Cairo.

Brand and trade names also get capitals-> Microsoft, Nescafe, Honda, Nokia.

Finally, abbreviations which are made up of names - IMB (International Business Machines), NATO (North Atlantic Trreaty Organisation), USA (United States of America). ... and apart from those, a capital letter is always used for the first word of a sentence.... as I have in the 'A' of "all" in line 1, the 'B' of "brand" in the second line, and the 'F' of "finally" in line 3.

It's not clear just what you're asking here. You use "large letters" when you capitalize the first letter of a word, or for a logo such as WikiAnswers, so it's not against any rules. You should not capitalize random letters, however, because it's just too confusing to read them.
