if it's a petrol model then it's every 40,000 miles.
60.000 miles should change cambelt.
About 50,000 miles is recommended for ALL serpentine belts.
this totally depends on which sharan you have. Is it a diesel or petrol?
For Peugeot 206 1.6 petrol, cambelt change should be done every 90000km or 6 years, whichever comes first.
cambelt should be changed at 70,000 miles , i was quoted £360 at Renault main dealer for cambelt change only , but had cambelt plus water pump changed for £357 at an independent garage.
The cambelt should be changed every 100,000 miles on a Toyota Townace. If the light is on that is signifying that there may be something wrong with it so it should be checked as soon as possible.
Drain the tank, replace fuel filters, refill with gas and hope for the best.
Petrol should be saved. It is a limited resource.
No, you should not.
So that in the future, petrol will be there for us to use.
The C2 1.6VTS is an INTERFERENCE engine and thus BENT valves are very likely in the event of the Cambelt breaking. Replacement Intervals are therefore recommended at strictly 40,000 Miles/60,000klms. A Qualified Technician should be able to replace the Job in 2.5 hours and would definately replace the BELT, the TENSIONER & the WATERPUMP. Should the CAMBELT have already broken then the Cylinder head will be removed and possibly ALL 16 valves would be replaced (an expensive job).
