You should only stop taking antibiotics only when directed by your doctor. If your doctor gave you one bottle of antibiotics as your prescription, finish the whole bottle using the instructions on the bottle. Never stop taking antibiotics halfway through your prescription.

If you do stop without finishing the prescription, the hidden bacteria in your body will make a comeback, and may be as strong as ever. Thus, to ensure that all the harmful bacteria die, you must finish the prescription unless otherwise directed by a doctor.

Basically, only when you have finished the prescribed course or the doctor tells you otherwise, or if you have an adverse reaction. If you stop just because you are feeling better, you will likely relapse.
