My mother used to say that to me all the time, and it wasnt until my mid 20's that i could actually hear it.. my tone.. it wasnt an attitude, it was my tone in which i said certain things.. now i can refrain form sounding sarcastic or hateful, just by checking my tone before i speak to some one.. mostly by running it thru my brain before i spit it out.. think before you speak, and it will get better for you, and you wont say things that could unintentionally hurt someones feelings by sounding condescending.
