The White Nile and Blue Nile merge to form the river Nile near Khartoum, Sudan, at a place known as "al-Mogran". The Nile then flows through Sudan and Egypt before entering the Mediterranean Sea in north-east Egypt. However, the most distant stream and therefore the ultimate source of the Nile is the Luvironza River in Burundi, a tributary of the Kagera River. The Kagera River forms the border between Rwanda and Tanzania, then between Uganda and Tanzania and then flows into Lake Victoria from which the White Nile emerges in Uganda.
The Nile River is not white. The Egyptian flow of the Nile River is formed at Khartoum by the confluence of two major tributaries called the White Nile and the Blue Nile. The White Nile is the longer river, with a source as far south as Burundi (south central Africa). The Blue Nile carries more water and silt, and begins at Lake Tana in Ethiopia (farther east).
The Nile (in North East Africa) is a river, an inanimate object! It therefore does not live anywhere.
