When the auxilary have had is used?

Here is an example of when we use "have had".

I have had a migraine all day. I have taken a pill for it and it has not had any affect on my migraine. It has had an effect on my body. The pill gave me the jitters. So now I have had a migraine and the jitters for six hours. I have gone crazy.
