when the engine is hot the check engine light came on and the fan(is ok) don't start
petrol is there, spark also the but on the dash i dont see a check engine light when i switch the car ON
no but if you dont check your blinker fluid your car wont start! TRUE STORY!!!!!!!!
I dont know but i have a 88 & i think the trans in mine is slipping. My check engine light came on
It depends...Some faults turn on the Check engine light and some dont. You will need to get the car scanned to be certain that there are no fault codes.
this is a natural occurence, dont be worried.
check your ignition fuse- check your crank senser and wires- when you turn your key on but dont start engine listen for the fuel pump to buzz- check for gas in the fuel rail-check for spark
Its probably like a check engine light if you dont have one that actually says "check engine". The owners guide should tell you what all symbols and lights mean.
cvheck the fuel pump.if that dont fix it check to see you have spark by touching the spark plug wire to the block if it has spark then that ain't it. otherwise take it to thne dealership and have them put in on a diaognosdtic machine if it has the check engine light on
Fix the problem it is telling you about - It will jsut come back on if you dont M
im not positive cuz i dont have a 318 i have a 325, but i think that is the check engine light... It is actually the tranmission service light.
I'm assuming you mean when you start your car, the check engine light doesn't temporarily light up.The LED for your check engine light may be burnt, broken or there could be a shortage somewhere. From my personal experience, my check engine light would stay on constantly and I was told that a malfunction in my OBD sensor was the cause so I had it replaced. It was pricey so I was pretty upset when my vehicle was returned and the light was still on. I refused to pay for the OBD at that point and the mechanic agreed to waive the fee for the OBD replacement and fix the problem. When my car was returned, the light was off, however, a year later, I found out they busted the LED light so it only appeared to be fixed. The OBD was correctly sensing emissions all along. What I was told is the light should always come on when you first start your car. If you bring this into a car shop to get fixed, ask if they can replace the check engine light with your trunk open light. Otherwise, I was told the whole circuit board would need to be replaced and that can get pricey. I personally sacrificed my "open hatch" light for the check engine light.Hope that helps!
This is not a question that someone should be asking as there are numerous trouble codes that will illuminate the check engine light. You dont "replace" the check engine light. You fix what's causing the light to come on, then reset the engine computer by pulling the main fuse under the hood. If you've properly taken care of the problem causing the light to come on then the light won't re-light. It's always best to reset the engine computer as a first step as sometimes the engine will do something to illuminate the light then resolve itself. Normally on an older Civic the cause is a worn out O2 sensor.
