and then, instead of leaving it there, he can't resist trashing it.
By what path of higher reasoning or occult knowledge can he possibly say that
the Earth will "probably be destroyed on 12/12/12" ? ! ? What in all of Creation
makes that "probable" ? This he neglects to share with us.
Sadly, what we see in the first answer, above, encapsulates for us the well
known history of evangelism. We see the noble savage, after he has accepted
the word, made it part of his life, and learned to quote from it when answering
questions, but now and then the savage instincts of his childhood upbringing
just can't be suppressed.

∙ 7y agoIn a few billion years time, the sun will begin to cool and leave our earth as a cold and lifeless rock in orbit. This will not mean destruction in the sense of the earth ceasing to exist, but the earth as we know it will cease to exist. In the meantime, we can choose to destroy our environment and make the earth a less habitable place for our descendants, but at least it will continue to exist.
