Is it legal to plow snow on a public road?
From what I know in Maine anyway, they don't like it when you do. When snow gets on the road after the plow driver has come by, and some one is going fast down the road, when they hit that little bit of snow in the road they can loose control. So i guess what i am saying is, i would not do it, as far as i know you can get fined for it

Does it damage a tire to drive with snow chains on dry roads?
Of course it will damage the tire/tires. It will damage tires to drive on any road while using chains, probably more so on a dry road. Even on a road with snow and ice and even though the wear/damage to the tires is minimal, the tires will still suffer some excessive wear/damage. Chains should only be used when necessary unless you don't worry about early tire replacement. snow...

Does a 2005 gt mustang or a 2010 Camero do better in snow?
Basically hey both do pretty good in snow. if its thick snow you will have a better time with the Mustang (also take an account of the Mustangs tires). The mustangs tires are kinda specifically designed for snow (and grip on the road). If it is thin snow or ice the Camaro would do better. Again take in account of the Camaros tires. The tires of a Camaro are designed to handle ice, have grip on the road, and to handle on thin snow (not thick snow like the Mustang).

Is an Audi S5 good in the snow?
Yes, almost every car you encounter with snow/winter tires on them will be good in snow. It also depends on how you drive and the clearance of the car itself. Audi has a very low clearance so don't be stupid and start to go into 6" or more of snow. Snow in your definition might not be the same as mine. For me, snow= icy road, uphill, slush, unplowed road and 2"-3" of powdered snow. I drive a 3000GT VR4 with winter tires on it and it's the best dang car to me.
