Both cars pass on the left. Another way to look at it is that the cars won't pass each other at all. They will both turn before they reach each other.

Is to an adjective or an adverb?

The spelling "to" is a preposition, but can rarely be an adverb, when used with certain verbs. Examples are "coming to" or "turning to" where it could also be used as a preposition (coming to consciousness, turning to one direction). The spelling "too" (also) is an adverb.

Who Turns first on a light if the oncoming car is also turning left?

You don't clearly state what movement YOUR car is making. If you are both approaching the interesection from opposite directions and both want to turn left there should be no conflict unless it's an awfully small intersection. Other than that, there is no 'right-of-way" under that scenario, and you will both have to proceed with due caution to avoid a collision. On the other hand if you are turning right, and the oncoming car is turning left and both of you intend to wind up going in the same direction, the left-turning car should yield to you. The vehicle turning right always has the right-of-way.

Is the intersection of a line a point?

The intersection of two lines is always a point or the line itself. The intersection of a line with plane also the same as above.

To whom do you yield at a four way stop?

the highway traffic act states, when at a four way stop controlled intersection, the vehicle that arrives first should proceed first. If two or more vehicles arrive at the same time, the vehicle to the right of the others should proceed first. Depending on where you live, it may also state that " no vehicle shall enter an intersection without a clear exit available. So, if you are turning left, there shouldn't be any other vehicle to contend with.

Where does a plane and a line intersect?

In most cases, in a single point. It is also possible that there is no intersection, or that the intersection is the entire line.

In Alabama can you turn left at a red light on a one-way street?

Yes, aside from intersections with signs specifically prohibiting it. UPDATE: The vehicle turning right on red also has to YIELD to traffic in the intersection. If turning right on red causes you to hit another vehicle turning left in your direction, the accident is your fault and you should have stopped to allow that vehicle to legally pass through the intersection. ALA CODE § 32-5A-32 : TRAFFIC-CONTROL SIGNAL LEGEND 3(b): Except when a sign is in place prohibiting a turn, vehicular traffic facing any steady red signal may cautiously enter the intersection to turn right, or turn left from a one-way street into a one-way street, after stopping as required by subdivisions (3)a. Such vehicular traffic shall YIELD the right of way to pedestrians lawfully within an adjacent crosswalk AND TO OTHER TRAFFIC LAWFULLY USING THE INTERSECTION.

Who has the right away at an uncontrolled T intersection?

It depends on the intersection. In the U.S.: At a four way stop, who ever got there first has the right to go first, even when turning left. If you have a green left turn arrow you have the right of way to turn left. With a solid green light only, or no stop signs, yield to drivers going straight, or if someone is turning right into the same lane you are turning left into, if you got there at the same time, let them go first, they are closer to that lane than you.

What is the difference between an intersection and a junction?

An intersection is where people or things can cross paths and then continue on their same path. Ie a four way intersection. A junction is also a place to cross paths, however, the person or thing must either turn back or negotiate a new direction to continue. Like coming to a tee in the road, you must either turn left, right, or turn back but you can't go forward.

Is Lily's Crossing a conjunction?

The title of the novel Lily's Crossing may be both an analogy and a metaphor: not a physical crossing (a location), but the intersection of her life with that of someone else. In that sense it is also a conjunction of sorts (a coming together).

When crossing a street pedestrians?

When a pedestrians crossing the street they should look both ways to make sure there is oncoming traffic. Pedestrians should also use sidewalks and only cross the street at an intersection.
