The purpose of an Xploder is to manage the save games on a DS. So you can take a backup copy of saved game data, and reload that specific save at a later date by copying it back to the cartridge.
Some people upload these save files for other people to use. However yes, using these will overwrite your current game save, so you'll need to make a backup copy of your own current game date first.
