He published his first book "In His Own Write" in 1964 or 1965. He later published a second book "A Spanaird In The Works" but not sure which year, most likely 19 65 or 1966.
Both books were by John Lennon
Yes. Several of Lennon's poems were included in In His Own Write and A Spaniard in the Works. In the movie Help!, Lennon can be heard reciting part of "I Sat Belonely" to Ringo Starr.
Lennon never made a Christmas album. He made a Christmas single with Yoko Ono, "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" b/w "Listen, The Snow Is Falling". There was a Beatles Christmas album, compiled from the seven Christmas records they recorded for their fan club in the Sixties. Ringo Starr recorded a Christmas album in the 2000s.
He has written some poetry (published as Blackbird Singing) as a tribute to Linda. He also wrote the screenplay for "Give my regards to broad street". He hasn't been asked to write another one.
While John Lennon and George Harrison collaborated on several songs during their time with The Beatles, Lennon did not specifically write songs for Harrison. However, Lennon did contribute to Harrison's songwriting process and offered support and ideas. Harrison's solo work also reflects influences from his time with Lennon and The Beatles, but each artist primarily wrote their own material.
Yes, even before he became a musician. He used to write and illustrate his own stories, poetry and books. He kept a notebook in school, called The Daily Howl, with parodies of current pop culture and his teachers, that he passed around class. (It was confiscated, but made the rounds of the teaching staff, and was eventually returned to him.) He also wrote a biography of the Beatles, that was published in Mersey Beat when they were still just a local band. Brian Epstein showed some of Lennon's works to a publisher, who signed him up, and two books were later published, titled John Lennon In His Own Write, and A Spaniard in the Works. They sold pretty well, and were reprinted after his death. Yoko Ono published a third book in 1986, titled Skywriting by Word of Mouth, that contained an autobiography of his life with her.
John Lennon notably disliked his own "It's Only Love", and Paul McCartney's "Hello Goodbye".
His own.
