This question doesn't really make sense. The first four teams in the NHL were: Ottawa Senators Montreal Wanderers Montreal Canadiens Toronto Hockey Club (known as the Blueshirts -- they weren't chartered as the Toronto Arenas until late in the 1917-18 season)
The league was founded on November 26, 1917. The first games were played on December 19, 1917. Montreal Canadiens beat Ottawa Senators 7-4, while Montreal Wanderers beat Toronto HC (also known as Blueshirts or Arenas) 10-9.
Montreal Canadiens, Montreal Wanderers, Ottawa Senators, Quebec Bulldogs, and Toronto (no name, often called the Arenas). Those were the five charter members of the league in 1917. All except the Toronto franchise had existed in the NHA. The NHL was created to get rid of Toronto Blueshirts owner Eddie Livingstone. So the other owners created a new league with a new Toronto team (they eventually became the Maple Leafs).Quebec sat out the first two years and began playing in 1919. The Montreal Wanderers folded after 6 games because their home arena burnt down.
The history of the National Hockey League begins with the demise of its predecessor league, the National Hockey Association (NHA), in 1917. After unsuccessfully resolving disputes with Eddie Livingstone, owner of the Toronto Blueshirts, executives of the three other NHA franchises suspended the NHA, and formed the National Hockey League (NHL), replacing the Livingstone team with a temporary team in Toronto, the Arenas.
The PNF (Partito Nazionale Fascista; English - National Fascist Party) created a paramilitary militia along with the basic party organization. These were known as the squadristi. Squadristi being the plural for squadrista (meaning, a member of a squad). They used violent (primarily fights with revolutionary communists) and non-violent means to spread the fascist message. They were known by other names as well; squadristi being a sort of informal name. In English they are most commonly refered to as "Blackshirts" (a literal translation of one of their other names in Italian: Camicie Nere). So called because, yup you guessed it, they wore black shirts as part of their uniforms. Another name for them was the National Security Volunteer Militia (Milizia Volontaria per la Sicurezza Nazionale, or MVSN). They were the first fascist paramilitary group, and as such set the standard for the uniform concept of fascist (and non fascist) movements worldwide. (Technically, they took the idea from a previous Italian organization the Redshirts. But, it was the squadristi who popularized it.) Some examples: Fascist Spain - Blueshirts; Brazil - Greenshirts; USA - Silvershirts; Ireland - Blueshirts; UK - Blackshirts. Non-Fascist Mexico - Goldshirts; Germany - Brownshirts (SA)
Enlisted men in the US Navy are often called "Blueshirts". Chiefs are enlisted supervisors who wear the same khaki uniforms that officers wear. Hence, both are often referred to as "the khakis". But Chiefs are sometimes called Chiefs, while Officers are more often called "khakis". Special Operations such as SEAL/SWCC often refer affectionately to regular Navy personnel as "blackshoes" or "shoes" since they usually wear their issued boondocker shoes instead of combat boots.
