Epiphany is no longer celebrated on January 6 but is now observed on the second Sunday after Christmas. In 2012 that fell on December 8. Traditionalist still consider the 6th as Epiphany, however.

∙ 11y agoThe Christmas Season ends with the Sunday following the Epiphany (which is on 6 January, or the nearest Sunday). That Sunday is called the Baptism of the Lord, in 2013 it falls on January 13 and ends the Christmas Season. Ordinary Time begins the Monday after the Baptism and runs until the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday.
