What are Danny Phantom?
Danny Phantom started out to be the shy 14-year-old boy, Daniel "Danny" Fenton who basically has no real reason to live. He more than once took away his ghost power using some tool (varying). His only friends were Samantha "Sam" Manson, a goth and ultra recyclo-vegetarian, as she says it, with a love for nature, and Tucker Foley, a computer geek with an enormous appetite for meat. Danny was continued to be insulted and bullied by bully, Dash Baxter and also bully, Kwan. His crush was the popular and sassy, Paulina, who insulted him everytime he tried to talk to her. One day, Jack and Maddie Fenton (Danny's parents who were obsessed ghost hunters. Maddie is the smarter one) finished their "Ghost Portal" which was said to be a doorway to the "Ghost Zone." When Jack connected the plugs, he expected something to happen. Instead, a mere spark came from the portal. Upset, Jack and Maddie went somewhere. Danny wore one of his parents' jumpsuits for safety reasons and went inside the portal. He accidentley pressed the "on" button and since Danny was inside it, his human DNA was fused with ghost DNA. Therefore, turning him into a human-ghost hybrid. Naming himself Danny Phantom, Danny decides not to let anyone know he is half ghost and learns how to control his powers and even learn some new ones with the help of his friends, Frostbite, his older sister Jazz, other ghost allies and sometimes even his parents (Although they try to capture him) and other ghost hunter, Valerie Gray.

What happens at the end of Danny phantom?
In the final episode, Phantom Planet, Vlad's space ship in the rings of Saturn explodes, causing an asteroid filled with an anti-ghost element (ectoranium) to move from the rings towards the Earth. Vlad hires new teen ghost fighters with the name of "Masters's Blasters", making Danny believe that Amity Park no longer needs him. He steps back into the ghost portal that originally gave him his powers, turns it on, and removes his powers. When the world finds out about the asteroid (which is called the Disasteroid), the astronomers that notifies us tells the world that they have one week to live before the Disasteroid completely destroys the world. Danny takes action to this and goes into the Ghost Zone with Sam, Jazz and Tucker to see if he can get the ghosts to agree to help him save the planet, but they refuse. The ghosts fire their ectorays at Danny, and only Danny, causing him to regain his powers. Danny's plan to save the world is to turn the Earth intangible, but he needs the help of all the other ghosts to do this. Right before he leaves to go to the Ghost Zone, he reassures Sam that he'll be back by kissing her. Danny gets the ghosts to agree and they turn the entire world intangible with a metal contraption that connects to every corner of the globe. Once the world has been saved, Danny and Sam become an official couple and Danny admits his secret to the entire world. Tucker also becomes the youngest mayor in Amity Park history, because Vlad now lives in the darkness of outer space for admitting his secret and all the things that he has done.
