Ziegfeld had most of his "follies" productions in Ziegfeld Girl on Broadway in New York City. They began in 1907 and continued for many years.
It began with slave music and blues from St Louis and New Orleans.

The Gilded Age brought forth new forms of entertainment. New music such as Ragtime dance and song were started. Cakewalk was also new and popular.
