Most likely, you will have to pay for the Droid Bionic even if you upgrade. However, it will be a lot cheaper if you are extending your contract than if you buy it outright.

The latest droid that has come out is the Motorolla droid Atrix, which was released for AT&T. This phone will be shortly followed by the Motorolla Bionic for verizon.
The motorola droid bionic is a great phone to have, and it does have many features. It is thin, lightweight, and great picture quality, it is a 4G phone, and since it is a droid, it has the market, which has a bunch of free apps on it which is always fun.
well.... its all personal preference due to the fact that the OS's are so different. If you like simple and easy to use get the iphone. If you like customization with a little getting use to get the Droid Bionic. Id wait for the iphone 5 to be honest cause the droid bionic is super fast right now.
Im pretty sure its the DROID Bionic or the Motorola ATRIX.
yes it does, the Droid bionic has the MDM6600 radio chip, which it is CDMA/GSM capable, but GSM capabilities have been disabled by Verizon. There is a hack to enable GSM radio, you can search the web for it (I found it on XDA forum). there are rumors that the ICS will enable GSM on Bionic. Zonadictoz
