Since the Early Dynastic period (3000-2600 BC), people made pottery like bowls, plated etc. The Egyptians made pottery through their entire reign, until their empire collapsed and became a province of the Roman Empire in 30 BC.

Yes, it most definitely was! Egyptions made their pottery and pots out of clay and it was called Egyptian art. After the pot had been made, they (not sure how) drew on pictures which were supposed to tell a story. I hope you find this answer useful.
