It was manufactured from 1936 to 1945. According to the Standard Catalog, retail value should be $50 in NRA Good condition and $75 in Excellent.
The 238A was made in the 1940's. Bolt-action shotguns dont sell very well these days, and the 238A typically brings around $80-$100 in normal used condition. sales@countrygunsmith.net

The models 238 and 238A werw made some time between 1959 and 1968. I can not find information on the 238TB but it looks like they stopped making the .410 bolt in 1968.
