John Jackely Kierano Furphy.
A furphy is a peculiarly Australian term for a rumor. It can also mean a false belief, a myth. There are two suggestions about the word's origin. Both refer to the fact that there was once a company named J. Furphy operating in Shepparton, Victoria, Australia, delivering water in carts. 1 During World War One in Egypt, there were water carts bearing the name Furphy, and, according to a writer of that time, the drivers of these carts used to spread rumors. 2 Mr Furphy himself turned to writing, using the nom de plume "Tom Collins", which in those days was slang for a rumor.
