There is a story told of our King David.

King David asked God when he would die and God revealed to him that he would die on Sabbath. Friday at sunset till Saturday sunset.

and so...

Despierta-(awake), mi bien(me well), despierta-(awake), mira(look) que ya amaneció(to what has dawned), Ya(now) los(the) pajarillos(birds) cantan(sing), la luna(the Moon) ya se metió (Has now gone (set).

Que linda está la mañana (how beautiful is the morning)

en que vengo a saludar te (in that comes to greet you),

Venimos todos con gusto y placer a felicitarte(We all came with joy and pleasure to congratulate you),

Ya viene amaneciendo(the sunrise now comes),

ya la luz del día nos dio(now the light of the day it gives us),

Levántate de mañana mira que ya amaneció(arise tomorrow see what has already dawned).

If we (and close ones) knew on what day we were to expire - What would our next day be like knowing that we made it through the night??

I put forth to you.... Las Mañanitas was a folk song by the Spanish Sephardic (Jews) that came over to Mexico, and recited every Saturday eve. As was said in the beginning of the song "Estas son las mañanitas, que cantaba el Rey David. These are the New-Days that King David sang "

Joyous to be alive "a rebirth" he sang
