Milton Keynes Dons F.C. was created in 2004.
The MK Dons are the football team who used to be Wimbledon FC, when Wimbledon lost their ground they moved to Milton Keynes hence the name MK Dons
Ipswich Town are the main rivals of Norwich City, but other minor rivalries include Colchester United, Milton Keynes Dons (MK Dons), Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Charlton Athletic.
That has nothing to do with tennis but here it is anyway: The owner of Wimbledon fc decided he wanted to move to Milton Keynes, so, what did he do? He brought his football club with him. He renamed them MK dons and a new club was formed. Wimbledon, formerly a better club, is now called AFC Wimbledon and is owned by someone else entirely.
Arsenal, based in north London, are named after The Woolwich Arsenal, in south London, where they were based before moving to Highbury in the 1920's. When Wimbledon FC, the south London football club nicknames 'the dons', relocated to Milton Keynes in the Midlands, they changed their name to 'MK Dons'.
