As of my last update in October 2023, the Northwest Territories does not have a formal political party in power. Instead, it operates under a consensus government system, where Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) are elected as independents and work together to make decisions without strict party lines. The Premier is chosen from among the elected MLAs. For the most current political situation, it’s advisable to check recent sources.
In Canada, the territorial governments of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut also operate on a consensus model, unlike the oppositional political party structure that prevails elsewhere in Canada.

Canada's western provinces are governed through the Constitution Act of 1867. Each province comes under the "Crown" and has a Lieutenant Governor. The North has three territories Yuikon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut. They have a mandate from the federal government and come under a commissioner. They (north) do not have a political party.
