Patsy Cline was first noticed by a Grand Ole Opry Country Music show touring troupe who stopped in Winchester, Virginia when she was 16. In 1954, she was signed by Four Star Records. A distribution deal with DECCA Records in 1955, led to her first recordings under Nashville vocal producer Owen Bradley, who was also the producer for the "Queen of Country Music," Kitty Wells.
Patsy's big break came when she won the Arthur Godfrey Talent Scouts show in 1957. DECCA Records went on to release, "Walking After Midnight," it was a hit on the country charts, and reached #12 on the pop charts. The rest was a successful, but short career.
