Radagast was created in 1954.
The animals are called Rhosgobel Rabbits. The translation from the Elvish is "brown or russet settlement", and Radagast's home near Beorn's was called Rhosgobel. Remember that Radagast was the brown wizard. The rabbits do not appear in the book.
Radagast was a wizard that was mentioned in the books. He was given a larger part in the movies, but he was actually modeled more from the book character named Tom Bombadil.
it is something in the hobbit Radegast is a West Slavic god of hospitality, fertility, and crops, associated with war and the sun. Radagast the Brown is one of the Istari or Wizards who were sent by the angelic Valar to aid the Elves and Men of Middle-earth in their struggle against the Dark Lord Sauron. Radagast appears in The Lord of the Rings and Unfinished Tales, and is mentioned in The Hobbit and The Silmarillion.
There is Saruman the white There's Gandalf the Grey There's Radagast the Brown and there's the two blue wizards who aren't mentioned by name
The necromancer, otherwise known as a the spirit of Sauron the Dark Lord.
Radagast the Brown was an add in. He was only a brief mention in the books, and was never fleshed out into a character. In the movie, Radagast had a strong resemblance to another book character, Tom Bombadil. Tom Bombadil never made an appearance in The Hobbit.
Radagast the Brown There is also mention of two 'Blue wizards,' but no name is given. There is also a theory that Radagast the Brown is in league with Sauron, but this is effectivley dispelled when you go deeper into the lore. Sauron is also known as 'the necromancer' in the hobbit, as his spirit form.
An American robin passed info on to Radagast, and he had chickadees nesting under his hat.
Yes. There are the two Blue Wizards who traveled far into the East, and whose do not appear in The Lord of the Rings. They are given in another, non-canonical (That is, books not published during Tolkien's lifetime or The Silmarillion) source, as Alatar and Pallando.
