The story of Robin Hood first shows about about 1226 as an oral tale in rhyme told by bards. It changes as it ages and it isn't until the 1400's or early 1500's that it is written down. Charcters like Tuck and Marian don't show up until late in the story. Most historians believe that there never was a "Robin Hood."
The story of Robin Hood begins about 1226 as an oral tale told by barbs. It was in rhyme so it was easy to remember. Charcters were added to the tale as the ages evolved and was finally written down in the late 1400's. Most historians don't think " Robin Hood" is a real person.
he was born in
1100 A.D.
Since, historically Robin Hood may not have existed, when the story began getting told in 1226 the main weapons were bow/arrow, sword. The major weapon of Robin Hood's period was the Long Bow. This was a (fairly) recent invention and was used to major result in the Battle of Agincourt Friday 25 October 1415 with Henry V of England. You will (may) recall that one of the attempts of the Sheriff of Nottingham to entrap Robin Hood was to hold an archery contest.

Robin Hood is regarded as a fictional character who may have been based on a real person. His story is dated to the time when King Richard I was away on crusade and being held hostage in the Holy Roman Empire. This was the period of 1190 to 1194 AD, during what is called the High Middle Ages. The middle ages lasted for another 250 years or so.
Depends what genre and time period your more fond of, to tell you the truth I liked robin hood better
yes because by the age robin hood was near enough 20 his father the woodsmith died of an illness in that time of period
Being an outlaw it is very unlikely that Robin Hood sent much time in the actual city of Nottingham. Most of the time he was in Sherwood forest in Nottinghamshire.
I would have to say Robin Hood, for no other reason than he has stood the test of time.
It depends on the story you are reading or the movie you watched. I don't recall the Robin Hood stories being consistent on this matter or even mentioning it at all. In the time period when Robin Hood existed, there were no electric shavers or razors the way we have now so shaving may have not been that popular. I would go for most people having a beard of some type.
My novel The Robin Hood Chronicles is a half-serious attempt to re-create in fiction what may have been the reality behind the Robin Hood legend. It is based on the earliest sources, which are ballads about Robin Hood; on the life of a real Robyn Hod whose life matches that of the ballads' Robin at one point; and on the history of the time. I believe my novel is as close to reality as it is possible to get at this distance in time.
Robin Hood isn't a real person. He is a fictional character in a story that dates from the 1200's. At this time people couldn't read so long poem stories were told and Robin Hood comes from this tradition. The story we know has evolved and changed over time.

No. The Normans end before the legendary Robin is on the scene, by that time the rulers of England are the Plantagenets.
The Legend of Robin Hood was a 1975 BBC television serial that told the story of the life of Robin Hood. The possibility that there was a person on whom the life of Robin Hood is based is actually high. The legend however is very likely embellished beyond accuracy.
