I have one; and I believe it was made in Sept of 1973. I believe the rest of the numbers have to do with the number it was in the run that was produced at that time. Great Guitars. Hi My name is Bill and I have sold several red label Yahama guitars over the past several years and which included the 180 red label . With a nice hard case included I sold the 180 for 500.00. The lesser numbered red labels went much cheaper as well as the 12 string FG230 which was hard to keep the neck from pulling up. Hope this helps. Bill
I put you number in the Yamaha Serial # Wizard on their website and it came up as "invalid" check your # again and try it on their website. Also, you can call them at 714-522-9000 and they will help you.
Can`t say for certain, but I purchased one new in June of 1992 ,so I would have say 1990-91. at that time plywood tops were being used and the fg 460a was the first yamaha i saw that had a nice spruce top .
probably between 1970 and 1974

A Yamaha FG160 acoustic guitar was available in the early 70's, possibly even in the late 60's. To tell for sure, you may try contacting a music store with the serial number.
It is not stated in his strap, but i am guessing it is a Yamaha strap considering that he uses a Yamaha guitar. Hope that answers your question. :P
There is one on Craig's list for $65. One on Ebay Canada with a starting bid of $125 and buy it now of over $400 with no bids. We picked one up at a garage sale for $30. They seem to be well-regarded instruments if you Google them they get good reviews. My guess is about $75-100.

The Serial Number Wizard is designed to provide "manufacture date" information for a guitar or bass. Not ALL serial numbers are accounted for, so if the Wizard indicates an "Invalid Serial Number", first double check the serial number on the instrument and try again. If the Wizard still indicates an "Invalid Serial Number" contact Yamaha Customer Support at: (714) 522 9000. SERIAL NUMBER DATE YEAR(S) UNIT #

it seems that it is not, I have been trying a long while to by one. Maybe Yamaha have a new one in the pipeline? Otherwise, by the number of people trying to buy an ezag I think Yamaha are dumb to take it out of production!

It's not a Yamaha Vin number. The vin number is for a 2008 KTM SX.
it is purple because Yamaha is for girls. sources. I hate Yamaha
That is a 2000 YAMAHA TTR125.
