The first blacks brought from Africa were sold in the colonies. This, of course, comprised most of the eastern seaboard. As the slave trade flourished, slaves were also brought to Cuba to work in the sugar plantations. They, of course, would be transported to the South to work in the cotton fields as well.
im pretty sure as slaves. i know blacks were brought to America cramped on the bottom of boats but im not exactly sure if they were from Africa or not..
