Who made the board game version of Shenanigans?

Either Milton Bradley or Parker Brothers, major game makers. it is conceivable a private third-hand might have made the board game- which was sold in Two Guys in Jersey City in the sixties. One somehow recalls the game had something to do with Florida- in the TV version. it was broadcast (live) indoors.

What is Shenanigan?

The word is normally used in the Plural- Shenanigans! of Gaelic origin, it was originally a phrase and is properly translated: I Play Tricks!) any sort of practical jokes, stunts, pranks, etc, usually on the wild side. Shenanigans was the proper name of a television show angled at kids. I seem to recall it was based in Florida, filmed indoors ( possibly in a disused warehouse or small shopping mall) and had a hokey Carnival background. Contestants tossed dice and walked around a live-action Shenanigans board- similar to a Monopoly board but themed to the S-game. The host of the program was a man named Stubby Kaye, not related to Danny. As was the case with Winchell Mahoney, Howdy Doody, et al, all of the action took place indoors. the live action board game was an unusual way to minimize this handicap. There was a board game version by Milton Bradley. It was on Sundays, Only on once a week.

What is the name of the show that was a kid version of Wheel of Fortune?

Shenanigans ( sort of a live-action monopoly but a different name), Puzzle Palace, and Video Village were all loosely in this category= participant quiz shows with some overtones of gambling or ( price is right) angles. All are long off the air. Shenanigans was also a board game by Milton Bradley, based on the show, of course.
