Lord Elgin Vocational Institute was in operation in Niagara Falls (Ontario) from 1967 - 1989. It was a vocational school offering 2-year training programs. In 1989, vocational training for students in Niagara Falls was transferred to NFCVI, which was re-opened as the newly renamed Niagara Falls Secondary School in September 1990. Also in September 1990, the Lord Elgin building was re-opened as Saint Michael High School. Although it was a "regular" high school, St.Michael also had the facilities in place from when the building was used for vocational training and as a result, as able to offer students classes in such hands-on subjects as cosmetology, auto-repair, woodworking and food services.

The first Niagara Bank was built in 1870 as Farmers and Mechanic's Savings Bank. Then it was renamed Lockport Savings Bank in 1967. It was constructed in Buffalo, New York.
