Sequoya feel mad
Sequoya created a "syllabary" of the Tsalagi language (an alphabet). He made a new language for them :)
In "Sequoya's Gift," develop means to grow, advance, or progress. It refers to the expansion and enhancement of Sequoya's natural abilities and talents.
The Sequoya created writing systems. Thanks, -KDG

Sequoya was a member of the Tsalagi (pronounced (closely) to Cherokee). There are several sub-tribes and I'm not aware of which he was affiliated with.
