It's worth noting that the Old Testament books of Ezra and Nehemiah are presented as a single book in the Hebrew Scripture. The span of Ezra-Nehemiah span a time period of more than a century (538-450 B.C.E.), from Cyrus' edict mandating the exiled Jews to return to their homeland from Babylon, to the beginning of Nehemiah's second term as governor in Jerusalem.
