To answer in short yes and no, GM has created the Cadillac Escalade EXT to be a close cousin of the Chevrolet Avalanche. They have very similar looking frames, but the Escalade EXT fixes some of the short comings of the 2008 Avalanche. Both the Avalanche and the Escalade EXT are the only trucks to offer the convert a cab mid-gate, which is what makes these two trucks notably similar. If you want the truck for the sake of the truck I recommend the Avalanche, but if you want that extra luxury and added love go for the EXT. The EXT offers all the great comfort and performance we have come to expect from Cadillac. Safe Driving!!
