I have some sterling silver bangles and they have FBM 925 written on them. I bought them in a quality shop. The 925 means that it is from sterling silver. The FBM, I just google it, is the brand from a German company named Friedrich Binder. It is from Monsheim, Germany.

925 is not gold.925 is Sterling Silver.
I believe your reading it upside down. Sometime the markings are small or worn and it's hard to identify which number begins the sequence.Thering is probably marked 925 rather then 576. Write down on a piece of paper the numbers 925, then turn the piece of paper upside down and it looks like 576. This is better understoodwhen you take into account how small the marking is and that the markings are often times worn down or crudely stamped. What you have is .925 silver. Also known as sterling silver.

You are holding your ring upside down :-) It's 925 Sterling Silver
