If you are willing to supply the serial number to your shotgun?I could give you the date of manufacture.If you are willing to supply the amount of blueing remaining and original wood finish I can supply you with a close estimate as to the value of your sweet-sixteen auto-5 shotgun. Hi, serial #is S 38378 and as far as blueing goes... gun has never been fired and looks to be in like new shape. thanks CJ

examiners compare fired bullets to suspect guns, restore filed off serial numbers. they do not investigate crime scenes.

The 'M' in the serial number indicates the gun is a BAR sporting rifle, but there was no M57 serialization since the gun was not introduced until 1967. Please check ther serial number.

I need to ask if this rifle was made by Browning?The 2 letters in the serial number would indicate that this rifle was made in the year 1998,as marked by Browning.Winchester never has used the serial number system that your serial number demonstrates.If this was a Browning made rifle it was probably made by Miroku of Japan and would be so marked on the rifle.

I have a model 1100 which i bought in Jan of 1964. serial number 41xxx V according to Remington society was manufactered in 1963. Due to the way everything that happened at that time to my knowledge has never been fired. I recently bought a used 1100 to use instead.
