How do you combine first and last names in Excel cells?

If one cell contains a first name and another contains a last name, you can bring the two together into one cell in two ways. You can use the & operator or the CONCATENATE function. So if the first name was in A2 and the last name in B2, then in C2 you could have either of these formulas, which also put a space between the two elements: =A2 & " " & B2 =CONCATENATE(A2, " ", B2)

How do you subtract 40 percent in Excel?

You can do it lots of ways. You can think of it as taking 10% away or just getting 90% of the original value. Assuming your value was in cell B2, any of these would work:=B2-B2*10%=B2*90%=B2-B2*0.1=B2*0.9=B2/10*9You can do it lots of ways. What is the Excel formula for the selling price if you have cost and margin?

The selling price is the cost plus the margin. If you know the margin as a fixed value and the cost was in cell A2 and the margin in B2, in C2 you could put the following formulas: =A2+B2 If the margin is a percentage of the cost and the margin is in B2, then the formula would be: =A2+A2*B2
